Graduate Hospital

Though the large medical institution that gave this south-of-Center City swath its name is no longer in operation, Graduate Hospital has become a solid neighborhood of its own accord. Characterized by several community service organizations, a mix of single-family homes, and 22 thriving places of worship, it’s a remarkably kid-friendly place.

South Street West is the neighborhood’s main corridor. It’s clean, extremely pedestrian-friendly, and full of independent restaurants, cafes and shops. Graduate Hospital also has the distinction of possessing some of the best bars in the area. South of the bustling life of Center City, Graduate Hospital has all the amenities of the city but with a more relaxing, neighborhood feel and more accessible street parking.
